Beginner’s Courses
The club offers beginners courses throughout the year, and early booking is recommended as places are limited.
Spring/Summer courses usually take place on a Tuesday evening and comprise of five 2-hour lessons on consecutive weeks, at the club’s outdoor shooting ground.
Subject to the availability of the venue, Autumn/Winter courses may be held on Sunday afternoons in the Exeter School Sports Hall.
All equipment is supplied, and we ask participants to wear appropriate clothing and footwear – details will be provided on enrolment (also see FAQ below).
The course will teach prospective archers to shoot the bow with confidence and consistency, and give a thorough understanding of the safety requirements around the sport.
Club membership is open to those who have satisfactorily completed a beginners course.
For all club based activities the minimum age is ten years, and any participant under fourteen years of age must be accompanied by an adult (parent or guardian) at all times.
